Little Olivier, a lovely happy little lad who has only recently turned to the ripe old age of 1 had a fantastic time in his portrait session. Both Cecil and Gordon seemed to enjoy it too!
The pressure was on to provide a fantastic number of portrait images of their little lad Ollie. Ollie did make my job easy...well up to the point where he was in the lighting area! He was a little lively as little ones are, but this is waht makes my job fun. Who likes stagnant portraits that are pre-posed!? Yes there is an element of suggestive posing but then everything else that follows is natural. Ollie provided me with the opportunity to capture some fantastic images.
We had a fantatic afternoon...I think I can speak for us all!
I'm just working through the images and will have them soon, so keep your eyes peeled for an update.

After a little journey up to the NEC in Birmingham this weekend for the Focus on Imaging show. I found myself amongst a room of new toys!! I almost forgot why I was there! I needed to find a new provider for my frames, printing, photobooks and wedding albums. This I did...even after sifting through the masses of literature, talking to endless companies and browsing many options available..it's a minefield out there!
So after all that hard work Angela and I decided to have a nice hot cuppa...over the thought, should I upgrade my kit? Well we thought a little and came to the conclusion that a good deal is hard to come by and would I kick myself if I didn't get it! I decided that this was an excellent choice but I would need to fund the upgrade by selling of some of my kit that will no longer be needed.
As we went back to the stand there were only two remaining kits left. The queue seemed to take forever to go down, i looked back at the shelf, both kits had gone! The guy in front of me grabbed the last one...grrr! So I took the option of the last remaining body, which I hope I didn't take from a person behind me in the queue hoping to buy! Well as we were waiting for the sales guy to process our order, the guy in front of me couldn't pay for his kit, his credit card had rejected his payment...THERE IS A GOD! So I politely said, if you are not buying that, I'll take it off his hands!
So I came home with a grin on my face and a new EOS 5D MK II and a spanking new L series lens...just what the doctor ordered!
Keep looking and listening for some new test shots from the new baby in my camera bag!!
